Dubai: The Dubai Police General Command has extended its warmest congratulations to the nation's youths on International Youth Day, celebrated annually on the 12th of August.

In a celebratory statement marking the international occasion, Dubai Police reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to supporting and empowering youth, guiding them towards active engagement in fulfilling national aspirations and advancing the country's journey towards global leadership.

His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, emphasised that the youth drive a nation's sustainable development. "They serve as the guardians of security, the beacons of the bright future, and the guarantors of societal stability and progress," he added.

Lt. Gen. Al Marri stressed that placing utmost importance on developing and advancing young minds, their ideas, and concepts is crucial for any nation striving for progress and prosperity. "This is because the youths are the true assets and the driving force behind civilisations, and it is through their immense potential that nations propel forward," he continued.

Lt. Gen. Al Marri added that the UAE primarily empowers youth as President His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan stated, 'Empowering them [the youths] is of utmost priority, and their role is fundamental in accomplishing our developmental ambitions'.

Inspired by the words of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, 'The UAE will remain the incubator of your dreams and ambitions and the premier platform for showcasing your capabilities,' the Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police has underscored their commitment to strategic objectives. Drawing from this vision, they are keen to harness the latent potential of the youth, uplift them across multiple sectors, and cultivate dialogue between emerging talents and veteran experts, recognising the unparalleled aspirations, enthusiasm, and innovation that the youths represent.
