Dubai: As part of its efforts in supporting and empowering people of determination, the Dubai Police, represented by the Dubai Police Council for Empowering People of Determination and the Positive Spirit Initiative, celebrated the 52nd Union Day of the United Arab Emirates along with the Dubai Centre for Special Care, the Emirates Down Syndrome Association, and Al Sondos Centre for People of Determination.

The celebration was attended by Major General Abdullah Khadem Surour Al Mesam, Director of Bur Dubai Police Station, and Captain Mohammad Al Mazrouei, Acting Chairman of Dubai Police Council for Empowering People of Determination, along with several officers and council members, Dubai Police's mascot Mansour, and the tourist police patrols.

 Al Mesam stated that the Dubai Police, as part of their social responsibility, are keen to involve all community members, including people of determination, in various occasions and celebrations. 

"This involvement aims to enhance confidence and instil values of happiness and social cohesion and aligns with the Dubai Police's strategy for people of determination, the national policy for empowering them, and the UAE Vision 2071," he confirmed. 

Captain Mohammad Al Mazrouei emphasised that the Dubai Police Council for Empowering People of Determination aims to integrate and empower people of determination in distinctive and pioneering ways through its diverse events, initiatives, and programs. 

The 52nd Union Day celebrations included musical and traditional performances, with the participation of children from the people of determination community, Dubai Police's mascot Mansour, and the tourist police patrols.
