Dubai’s RTA unveils Rail Bus with 100 kph speed and 40-passenger capacity

Dubai: Dubai is gearing up for a major public transport upgrade with the introduction of the Rail Bus, an autonomous, fully solar-powered system designed to enhance mobility across the city.
Announced by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) on Monday, this cutting-edge vehicle is expected to redefine sustainable urban transport.
A prototype of the Rail Bus is currently on display at the World Government Summit 2025 in Madinat Jumeirah, showcasing its sleek black-and-gold exterior, two rows of orange seats, and dedicated accessibility space for passengers with disabilities. Each carriage features 22 seats and can accommodate up to 40 passengers.
