Under the patronage and presence of His Excellency Lieutenant General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, Deputy Chief of Police and Public Security in Dubai, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Association for the Gifted, a ceremony was held to mark the silver jubilee of the association and to celebrate its journey, which has spanned more than a quarter of a century in discovering, nurturing, and empowering gifted national talents in the United Arab Emirates since its establishment in 1998.

Under the patronage and presence of His Excellency Lieutenant General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, Deputy Chief of Police and Public Security in Dubai, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Association for the Gifted, a ceremony was held to mark the silver jubilee of the association and to celebrate its journey, which has spanned over a quarter of a century in discovering, nurturing, and empowering gifted national talents in the United Arab Emirates since its establishment in 1998.

The ceremony, held at the Dubai Police Officers Club, was attended by several ministers, undersecretaries of ministries, directors of government departments, senior officials, and members of the association's board of directors. The event included the Emirati Talent Day, coinciding with the occasion of the birth of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul. During this event, the best ways to discover talented nationals and provide them with the necessary care and support were discussed, contributing to the development and investment of their abilities in serving the state and society.

His Excellency Lieutenant General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, in his speech delivered on this occasion, affirmed that the challenges faced by the association in its early days, particularly the scarcity of resources during the initial stages, did not prevent it from achieving its vision. He pointed out that deep belief in the mission, teamwork, and strategic planning contributed to turning the dream into a tangible reality filled with achievements, which helped shape a bright future for the youth and solidify the country's position as a hub of creativity and excellence.

His Excellency pointed out that the association was founded on the firm belief that the talented represent an invaluable national treasure, and that investing in minds is the best investment. He added that nurturing the talented is a national necessity to keep pace with global progress and enhance competitiveness.

He explained that the association has managed, through its specialized programs and initiatives, to discover thousands of talented individuals from the nation's youth, providing a supportive environment for their growth and development by organizing training programs, offering scientific and psychological consultations, connecting them with networks of scientists and specialists, and enabling them to participate in national and international forums.

His Excellency emphasized the vital role that Emirati families should play in discovering and nurturing talented individuals.Pointing out that the family is the incubator of talent and the cornerstone in the journey of developing children's abilities and directing their potential in the best possible way, and that it is the duty of every family in which a promising talent is discovered in one of its children to provide a supportive environment and complete care that enables them to develop and innovate, becoming a source of excellence and the nucleus of a generation of scientists and innovators who carry the nation's banner and contribute to enhancing its status in various international forums.

His Excellency added: One of the most notable achievements the association takes pride in is that many of the initiatives it launched have transformed into accredited national programs, adopted by major governmental and educational institutions, and their scope has been expanded to include various emirates of the state. He pointed out that these initiatives have contributed to shaping national policies related to talent and innovation.

He also referred to the Emirati Talented Day initiative, which is one of the symbolic and national initiatives organized annually by the association, coinciding with the birthday of the late founding father, may God have mercy on him, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may his soul rest in peace. He emphasized that this day is an important national occasion where the association highlights talent issues, discussing the best ways to discover the talented among the nation's youth and providing them with the necessary care and support, contributing to the development and investment of their abilities in serving the state and society.He added that this day has become a national platform that brings together a select group of specialists, decision-makers, and experts to exchange views on the future of nurturing talent in the UAE.

He also affirmed that the effective partnerships the association has established with governmental and private entities have helped enhance the effectiveness of its projects and ensure their sustainability, pointing to fruitful cooperation in recent years with the Ministry of Education, research centers, universities, and scientific institutions, which has contributed to maximizing the societal and educational impact of the association's programs.

At the end of his speech, His Excellency expressed his gratitude to everyone who supported the association's journey and contributed to its success, both individuals and institutions, especially the current and former board members, as well as all the members and employees of the association, who have worked with dedication and sincerity for over 25 years.

He also thanked the media in all its forms, and the pioneers of social media platforms, for their role in conveying the association's message and enhancing societal awareness of talent and creativity issues, affirming the association's determination to continue its noble mission of discovering, nurturing, and refining the talents of the UAE's youth, in line with the wise leadership's aspirations to build a knowledge-based economy and an innovative society.
