Dubai: The Positive Spirit Council of Dubai Police organized the 'Burj Nahar Community Forum,' drawing over 700 attendees from diverse nationalities. The forum aimed to enhance security awareness and strengthen communication between the Force and community members.

This event, in cooperation with Al Muraqqabat Police Station and strategic partners, took place in the historic Burj Nahar area in the Deira district along Dubai Creek, a landmark since 1870. This site is one of the fortifications approved by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai, as part of the project dedicated to preserving Dubai's heritage architecture.

The community forum was attended by Brigadier. Abdul Moneim Abdul Rahman Warsho, Deputy Director of Al Muraqqabat Police Station; Lt. Col. Sultan Al Shamsi, Director of Administrative Affairs at the station; Captain Saeed Ghadeer, Vice Chairperson of the Positive Spirit Council, along with 77 volunteers from the Positive Spirit Council and the 'Policeman in Your Neighbourhood' initiative.

Capt. Saeed Ghadeer emphasized that the event in the historic area reflects the commitment of Dubai Police, represented by the Positive Spirit Council, to organize initiatives to enhance community happiness, security, and safety. "It also seeks to improve quality of life, foster social harmony, and promote values of tolerance, coexistence, and respect for others," he continued.

The forum featured several awareness lectures on communicating with Dubai Police, highlighting the toll-free emergency numbers 999 for emergencies and 901 for non-emergencies. Participants were also informed about the "Victim Support" service, traffic safety laws, and a special competition on 'Sign Language', delivered by Sign Language Expert Mohammad Al Hajjaji, General Coordinator of the Dubai Police's People of Determination Empowerment Council.

Moreover, attendees had the opportunity to meet the police mascot "Officer Mansour" from the Security Awareness Department, enjoy performances by the Dubai Police musical band, and explore a display of luxury patrols.
