Abdulla Al Marri Welcomes Police Leaders and Law Enforcement Officials Ahead of World Police Summit

Dubai: His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdulla Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, welcomed several senior law enforcement officials at the Dubai Police Officers Club. The visitors included Mike Duheme, Commissioner of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police; Eduardo Cerna Lozano, Director General of Investigative Police in Chile; Roberto Rios, Deputy Commissioner and Executive Officer for Intelligence and Counterterrorism at the New York Police Department; and Joe Chow Yat-ming, Commissioner of Hong Kong Police.
These meetings were part of a series of engagements with police leaders attending the 2025 edition of the World Police Summit, held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. The summit will begin tomorrow at the Dubai World Trade Centre and run for three days, drawing high-level international participation from law enforcement agencies, global organisations, and security experts.
During the meetings, the parties discussed ways to strengthen cooperation and shared interests. Lieutenant General Al Marri emphasised that Dubai Police warmly welcomes police leaders from around the world, sharing its knowledge and experience to promote the exchange of best practices and enhance bilateral relations.
He also highlighted key initiatives launched by Dubai Police, including the World Police Summit, the UAE SWAT Challenge, the Police Innovation and Leadership Diploma (PIL), and the Fraud Forum, all designed to foster international cooperation and knowledge sharing.
The visiting officials expressed their sincere appreciation for the warm hospitality, praising the strong and evolving ties between their countries and the UAE. They also commended the high level of security, innovation, and professionalism demonstrated by Dubai Police, along with the global recognition the UAE enjoys in the policing sector.
At the conclusion of the meetings, His Excellency Al Marri presented commemorative shields to the visiting delegations, wishing them continued success.
