Dubai: The Tourist Police Department within the General Department of Criminal Investigation at Dubai Police is organizing various events to celebrate World Tourism Day on the 27th of this month. The celebration, in collaboration with Emaar Properties and the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, will be held under the theme ‘Tourist Police... Always by Your Side’.

The festivities will span two days, beginning with a Friday event at Dubai Creek Harbor. The main event will occur at The Dubai Mall on Saturday, from 4:30 PM to 7:00 PM.

Brigadier Saeed Al Hajri, Director of the General Department of Criminal Investigation, stated that Dubai Police's annual celebration of World Tourism Day underscores the Force’s commitment to enhancing security in the tourism sector. “This initiative aims to raise awareness of the various services available to tourists and visitors, particularly as Dubai is recognized as one of the world’s leading tourist destinations,” he added.

Brig. Al Hajri highlighted Dubai Police’s dedication to providing exceptional services in partnership with government and private sector entities, ensuring sustainable safety in tourism while supporting the strategic goal of creating a safe, resilient city that promotes community happiness.

Furthermore, he pointed out that the events will feature participation from the Positive Spirit Council, which organizes a range of activities designed to support Dubai Police’s strategic goals of enhancing community happiness, ensuring security and safety, improving quality of life, fostering social cohesion, and promoting values of tolerance, coexistence, and respect for others. Additionally, he mentioned that the ‘Studio Al Sonaa’ initiative will take part in the event, focusing on engaging families and developing skills and talents through artistic activities and workshops.
