Dubai: Students from Hemaya Schools joined senior citizens at the Dubai Centre for Senior Happiness to mark the International Day of Older Persons, an occasion dedicated to highlighting the rights of the elderly, addressing the challenges they face, and ensuring they receive the care and appreciation they deserve for their lifetime of contributions.

The visit, organised by the Hemaya Office for Education and overseen by Lieutenant Colonel Abdullah Al Suwaidi, Director of Hemaya Schools for Education, was attended by Mr. Jamal Al Shaiba, Director of Hemaya Boys’ School, along with a group of students.

Mr. Al Shaiba explained that the visit aimed to promote human values, instil respect and kindness, and bring joy to the hearts of senior citizens, while also strengthening communication between generations. The students expressed their gratitude and appreciation to the elderly for their decades of service, wisdom, and dedication.

During the visit, the students distributed flowers, creating heartfelt smiles on the faces of the senior citizens, who in turn expressed their delight and gratitude for this thoughtful gesture.

Concluding the visit, Mr. Jamal Al Shaiba extended sincere thanks to the management of the Dubai Centre for Senior Happiness for their warm welcome, stressing that such initiatives help build a conscious generation that carries within it deep respect and appreciation for those who came before.
