Dubai: The diverse communities of Al Qusais came together under the supervision of the Dubai Police Positive Spirit Council, in cooperation with Al Qusais Police Station, the General Department of Human Rights, the “Your Neighbourhood Police” initiative, and a number of government and private sector partners, to host the Al Qusais Community Forum.

The event, held at the playgrounds of His Highness Sheikh Rashid Al Maktoum Pakistani School in Dubai, attracted more than 1,200 participants from families residing in the area. It reflected the multicultural spirit of the UAE and its values of coexistence, tolerance, and respect for all.

Fatima Bohjair, Chairperson of the Positive Spirit Council, affirmed that the gathering was part of the Council’s initiatives to support Dubai Police’s strategic goal of spreading community happiness, enhancing safety and security, improving quality of life, and strengthening social cohesion.

The programme featured awareness lectures delivered by Captain Asim Shayea, Secretary of the Positive Spirit Council; First Lieutenant Juma Al Maqbali, Acting Head of the Cultural Diversity Section at the General Department of Community Happiness; First Lieutenant Muhammad Al Muhairi; Sergeant Omar Aflatoon; and Corporal Ahmad Salem.

Topics included how to contact Dubai Police via the free emergency number 999 and the non-emergency line 901, the dangers of drugs, an introduction to the “Victim Support” service, traffic safety rules, services offered by Smart Police Stations (SPS), and awareness on cybercrime.

Adding a lively touch, the event also featured Dubai Police mascot “Mansour” from the Security Awareness Department, a performance by the Dubai Police Musical Band, and a display of luxury police patrols.
