Record Turnout: 3,665 Participants at ‘Al Twar Community Forum’ in Dubai

Dubai: Under the patronage of the Ministry of Interior, represented by the Positive Spirit Council at Dubai Police and Al Qusais Police Station, the Indian community organized the ‘Al Twar Community Forum’. This event drew an impressive turnout of 3,665 participants, primarily families from Kerala within the Indian community.

The forum, carried out in collaboration with strategic partners from various government and private sectors, featured a series of awareness lectures and recreational activities for residents in the Al Twar area.

The forum, held at the football fields of the Star International School, was attended by Mr. Babitra Majumdar, Consul at the Indian Consulate, and Ms. Fatima Buhajeer, Chairperson of the Positive Spirit Council.

Lieutenant Colonel Rashid Mohammed Salem, Director of Al Qusais Police Station, confirmed that the event exemplifies Dubai Police's ongoing commitment to fostering cooperation and communication with the diverse communities in Dubai. “The forum aims to inform residents about police services and enhance security awareness, aligning with the strategic goal of improving safety and security while promoting community happiness,” he added.

Meanwhile, Ms. Fatima Buhajeer emphasized that the forum's activities are part of the council's initiatives aimed at enhancing quality of life, promoting social harmony, and instilling values of tolerance, coexistence, and respect for others. She highlighted that the forum featured a series of awareness lectures on critical topics, including the dangers of drugs, the importance of surrounding oneself with positive influences, workers' rights, traffic safety, and how to reach Dubai Police at the toll-free number ‘999’ for emergencies and ‘901’ for non-emergencies. “Furthermore, the forum raised awareness about cybercrime and online extortion, including a lecture on strategies to prevent and reduce fraud,” Buhajeer continued.

In addition, attendees had the opportunity to meet the police mascot "Officer Mansour", enjoy performances by the Dubai Police musical band, and explore a display of luxury patrols, along with a Flag Day celebration.

The forum also featured a football tournament that coincided with the launch of the Dubai Fitness Challenge, with six sports teams competing, as well as various sports competitions, recreational activities, and a range of games.

At the end of the event, the Positive Spirit Council and Al Qusais Police Station presented commemorative shields to the organizing entities and partners who contributed to the event’s success.
