Dubai: Dubai Police urged the public to follow the 54th Eid Al Ittihad celebrations guidelines to ensure a safe, orderly, and enjoyable experience for all while preventing risks or disruptions.

Brigadier Jumaa Salem Bin Suwaidan, Director of the General Department of Traffic at Dubai Police, urged the public to maintain a civilized appearance and cultivate a culture of commitment and traffic awareness during the 54th Eid Al Ittihad celebrations, reflecting the country’s esteemed image. He underscored that adhering to the established celebration protocols ensures unobstructed traffic flow and curtails inappropriate conduct, thereby facilitating the safe observance of this revered national holiday, which encapsulates affection for the homeland. Furthermore, he reiterated that the Dubai Police is resolute in its commitment to upholding the utmost safety standards on the roads, thereby instilling a sense of security and tranquility among all road users.

Brig. Jumaa Bin Suwaidan explained that the General Department of Traffic, in cooperation with its partners, has finalized several traffic scenarios and plans aimed at enhancing traffic flow and preventing congestion during the 54th Eid Al Ittihad celebrations. “These plans also prioritize securing celebration sites in a manner that reflects the significance of this national occasion. Key measures include deploying patrols and managing traffic at critical points, as well as increasing field presence to ensure a swift response to any emergencies,” he added.

He noted that this year’s celebrations coincide with multiple events across the emirate, emphasizing that Dubai Police will mobilize all available human resources and field capabilities to ensure the success of these events while maintaining Dubai’s esteemed reputation and global standing.

Brig. Jumaa Bin Suwaidan noted that Dubai Police will deploy traffic patrols and monitors throughout the emirate's streets, including all intersections and major roads, to ensure smooth traffic flow and provide guidance to road users on adhering to traffic regulations aimed at protecting everyone and preventing violations for their safety.

He added that traffic patrols will be stationed in the Bur Dubai jurisdiction, covering streets such as 2nd December, Jumeirah, Al Sufouh, and the JBR area. “Similarly, patrols will be positioned in the Deira jurisdiction, focusing on key areas including Al Muraqqabat, Al Rigga, Al Mamzar, and Al Rashidiya, as well as along Al Khaleej St, Al-Ittihad St, Amman St, and University City.

The Director of the General Department of Traffic highlighted that these guidelines include avoiding the organization or participation in random marches and gatherings, adhering to all traffic regulations, following instructions issued by police officers, and refraining from using party sprays, whether by drivers, passengers, or pedestrians.

Brig. Jumaa Bin Suwaidan also affirmed the importance of keeping the front and rear license plates of vehicles visible and avoiding any obstruction, as well as refraining from altering the vehicle's colour or tinting the windscreen. Additionally, he stressed that no stickers, signs, or logos of any kind should be placed on the car unless they are specifically for Eid Al Etihad and comply with official guidelines and conditions.

He emphasized the prohibition of covering a vehicle's side, front, or rear windows with stickers, using sunshades that obstruct visibility, performing stunts on internal or external roads, and blocking traffic. Brig. Jumaa Bin Suwaidan stated that vehicles should not make unauthorized modifications or add unlicensed features that create excessive noise or impair vision. He also underscored the importance of adhering to the permitted number of passengers in a vehicle and ensuring that no one hangs out of windows or sunroofs.

The Director of the General Department of Traffic called on the public to cooperate with the police by reporting any negative traffic behaviors or incidents through the "Police Eye" service available on the Dubai Police app, or by calling the "We Are All Police" service at 901.

Brig. Jumaa Bin Suwaidan emphasized that collaboration between the public and law enforcement is crucial for the success of traffic plans and for ensuring smooth traffic flow during events. “Dubai Police will not tolerate any violations that may jeopardize the safety of road users,” he concluded.
