Zayed Humanitarian Legacy Foundation Board Reviews 2025 Achievements, Sets 2026 Strategy Under Theyab bin Mohammed bin Zayed

Abu Dhabi: The Board of Trustees of the Zayed Humanitarian Legacy Foundation held its periodic meeting, chaired by His Highness Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development Affairs and Families of Martyrs, and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Zayed Humanitarian Legacy Foundation, in which it reviewed the results of 2025 and the strategic directions for 2026.
During the meeting, His Highness Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed stressed that the UAE will continue its pioneering global civilizational mission of doing good and giving in all humanitarian, charitable and developmental fields, following the immortal humanitarian approach of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God have mercy on him, and implementing the inspiring vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, and following up with His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the State, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court, to implement all initiatives, projects and programs for all entities affiliated with the Zayed Humanitarian Legacy Institutions in a globally impactful way that contributes to improving the living conditions and meeting the needs of various peoples and societies.
The meeting also addressed the importance of focusing on the family in implementing humanitarian projects, in line with the UAE's declaration of 2026 as the Year of the Family, to promote social cohesion and make a real difference in the lives of individuals and communities. It also discussed enhancing governance and integrating work among the group's entities and raising the efficiency of institutional performance, ensuring greater effectiveness in directing resources and achieving humanitarian impact. Furthermore, it emphasized strengthening coordination and integration among the entities affiliated with the Zayed Humanitarian Legacy Foundation, and raising the efficiency of institutional performance to ensure greater effectiveness in directing resources and achieving impact, while stressing the importance of placing the human being and the family at the heart of humanitarian and development work, and continuing to develop integrated and flexible work models that enable the Foundation to respond effectively to changing humanitarian and development challenges and maximize impact at the national and international levels.
It is worth noting that the Zayed Humanitarian Legacy Foundation includes 14 entities that contribute to achieving a positive impact in more than 100 countries around the world, within the fields of healthcare, education, culture, community engagement, agriculture, food security, economic empowerment, environmental management and water, reflecting the breadth of the impact and the diversity of the areas of work.
