Robin Singh Announces RSR Cricket Scholarships in Dubai, Young Talents Felicitated by Sheikh Ali
Dubai: Former Indian Cricketer and Coach Mr Robin Singh Announces RSR Scholarships for Selected Students under the Robin Sports Relations Cricket Scholarship Programme in Dubai, Felicitates Young Talents in the Presence of His Excellency Sheikh Ali Bin Rashed Ali Saeed Al Maktoum.
 
Robin Sports Relations (RSR)-Robin Investments FZCO, founded by former Indian international cricketer and renowned coach Robin R Singh, today officially honours cricket scholarships for selected students who participated in the Robin Sports Relations Scholarship Programme. This transformative cricket scholarship and training initiative in Dubai is delivered in partnership with GEMS Education Schools and other leading educational institutions across the UAE. Brijesh Patel Cricket Academy (BPCA), run by the legendary cricketer and administrator Mr Brijesh Patel in Bengaluru, India, serves as the academy partner in India; Texas Cricket Academy as partner in the USA; SOMI Cricket as the official equipment brand sponsor; and VOWEN India as the apparel brand partner for the selected players.
 
The landmark evening event, held at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Deira Creek, Dubai, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, gathered cricketers, school principals, physical education teachers, and distinguished guests.
 
His Excellency Sheikh Ali Bin Rashed Ali Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of ALMAK GROUP, graced the occasion to personally felicitate the selected young scholars. The event was attended by UAE cricketers Aayan Khan, Vrithya Aravind, Vishnu Sukumaran and former skipper CP Rizwan, who led UAE to their first World Cup win in 2022 in Australia.
“Tonight, we celebrate more than an event; we celebrate the remarkable rise of cricket in the UAE. Across the world, cricket continues to grow in strength and unity, and here in the UAE, that momentum is clearly reflected through initiatives like the DP World ILT20 and our national team’s participation in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026,” said Sheikh Ali.
 
Key Highlights of the Scholarship Programme
The first and second-ranked players receive a full and partial refund of school tuition fees, respectively, as a token of appreciation.
All selected players are awarded a comprehensive one-year scholarship that includes professional coaching, apparel, equipment, and international training tours.
Outstanding performers will have opportunities to train and play with English county teams and be presented to scouts from premier global T20 franchise leagues.
 
The selected scholars will train under the direct guidance of an elite coaching panel comprising former international cricketers

The coaching curriculum places strong emphasis on technical excellence, mental resilience, and the holistic development essential for competing at professional levels in a highly competitive international environment.
 
Through strategic partnerships with English county clubs and prestigious residential schools, high- performing players will have the opportunity to secure places at these institutions, combining advanced education with the chance to represent the county clubs. Furthermore, RSR’s tie-up with Texas Cricket Academy in the USA ensures seamless continuity of training for players relocating to England, the USA, or India for higher education, allowing them to progress under the same distinctive, curriculum-based programme tailored for these exceptional young talents.
 
Following a rigorous selection process overseen by the elite coaching panel, only 16 outstanding players were chosen from 125 registrations across Dubai schools to receive the full one-year scholarship.
 
Former international cricketer and Mentor Coach of the RSR Sports Scholarship Programme, Mr Robin Singh, stated: “Having served as Director of Cricket for the UAE national team, I am intimately familiar with the gaps in the existing system. This programme is designed to address those deficiencies and instil the qualities that will enable these players to develop into professional and sustainable cricketers.”
 
Mr Banda Srinivasa Babu, Chief Mentor for Expansions at RSR, stated: “This initiative demonstrates to young athletes that a serious pursuit of sporting excellence, combined with academic rigour, can open extraordinary pathways. Fourteen-year-old Lokesh Reddy, a student of Delhi Private School, Sharjah, clinched the top prize after several rounds of trials held in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah. Second place went to Advay Ghosh of GEMS Modern Academy, Dubai.
 
The following were also awarded with scholarships and certificates: Shreyan Pattnaik (GEMS World Academy, Dubai), Ishan Rajesh (GEMS Metropole, Dubai), Sairam Ankam (GEMS United Indian School, Abu Dhabi), Ayaan Misbah (GEMS Jumeirah College, Dubai), Agastya Poojary (Mayoor Private School, Abu Dhabi), Rishabh Akashe (GEMS Modern Academy, Dubai), Shaarav Puranaik (GEMS Modern Academy, Dubai), Eisa Divker (GEMS Wellington, Dubai), Aarav Somani (GEMS Cambridge International School, Dubai), Kavan Pandya (GEMS Modern Academy, Dubai), Yuvan Patil (GEMS United Indian School, Abu Dhabi), Hashim Iqbal (GEMS Metropole, Al Waha), Saloni Pandya (GEMS Modern Academy, Dubai) and Arya Jogi (GEMS New Millennium School, Al Khail).
 
RSR Sports LLC has established dedicated cricket and fitness training academies in Dubai, with plans for further expansion across the UAE in the coming year.
