Mumbai: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy participated in the Mumbai Climate Week International Conference held from February 17 to 19, 2026. The event, co-hosted by the Government of Maharashtra along with global stakeholders, brought together leaders and policymakers to discuss strategies for environmentally responsible growth.

Addressing the conference, the Chief Minister highlighted Telangana’s developmental achievements and its strong commitment to sustainability. He emphasized that economic growth and environmental protection must progress together, presenting Telangana as a future-ready and investment-friendly state. He outlined the state’s focus on sustainable infrastructure, expansion of clean energy initiatives, and responsible industrial development.

Landmark Global Outreach Strategy Announced
The Chief Minister also spoke about Telangana’s ambitious dual global strategy titled “Take Telangana to the World” and “Bring the World to Telangana.” As part of this initiative, Telangana has been announced as the Official Partner State for the IIFA Weekend & Awards 2026.

In addition, Hyderabad will host the prestigious IIFA Utsavam from 2026 to 2028, marking a significant milestone for the state’s cultural and creative sectors.

Boost to Cultural Diplomacy and Creative Economy
In what is being described as a historic move for India’s cultural diplomacy and creative economy, the Government of Telangana has entered into a multi-year partnership with the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Weekend & Awards and IIFA Utsavam.

This first-of-its-kind collaboration aims to bring Indian cinema to a powerful global platform while positioning Telangana as a major hub for culture, creativity, tourism, and the creative economy. The initiative is expected to strengthen Telangana’s emergence as one of India’s leading cultural and creative capitals.
