Dubai: Dubai Police, represented by the General Department of Human Rights, organised a humanitarian initiative in cooperation with the UAE Food Bank to distribute Iftar meals to workers in Al Quoz Industrial Area.

The initiative reflects ongoing efforts to promote compassion, solidarity, and social
responsibility during the holy month of Ramadan. The initiative comes as part of Dubai Police’s commitment to supporting the working community and bringing joy to workers at the time of Iftar. It also reflects the humanitarian approach adopted by the force through its various community programmes and initiatives, while promoting the culture of giving, volunteering, and humanitarian work.

Through the initiative, between 1,000 and 3,000 Iftar meals are distributed daily to
workers in the area. The effort creates a positive and compassionate atmosphere
that reflects strong community solidarity and cooperation among different segments
of society, while spreading the values of mercy and generosity associated with the
holy month of Ramadan.

The initiative was attended by Colonel Faisal Al Khumairi, Deputy Director of the
General Department of Human Rights; Colonel Saeed Rashid Al Heli, Director of the
Human Trafficking Monitoring Centre; Lieutenant Colonel Dr Hussein Al Ali, Acting
Director of the Administrative Affairs Department; Lieutenant Nasser Mohammad
Noor; and First Sergeant Nasser Al Balooshi, along with several officers and
personnel who participated in organising and distributing the Iftar meals.
Dubai Police emphasised that such humanitarian initiatives reflect its commitment to
fulfilling its community role alongside its security duties. The force also highlighted
its continued efforts to strengthen partnerships with various institutions and
organisations that support charitable and humanitarian work, contributing to stronger
social cohesion and enhancing the quality of life in Dubai.
