Dubai: Dubai Police has launched a road safety exhibition at the Arabian Center as part of the Unified GCC Traffic Week campaign held under the slogan “I Cross Safely.”

The exhibition was inaugurated by Brigadier Essam Ibrahim Al Awar, Deputy Director of the General Department of Traffic at Dubai Police, as part of nationwide activities organised by the Ministry of Interior through the Federal Traffic Council, in partnership with the Integrated Transport Centre “Abu Dhabi Mobility,” and in cooperation with police authorities and strategic partners across the UAE.

Held in collaboration with Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), the exhibition aims to raise traffic awareness and encourage safer road behaviour among members of the community.

Brigadier Al Awar said Dubai Police remains committed to using public and community events to strengthen traffic awareness messages and promote positive road habits that help reduce accidents and enhance safety across Dubai’s roads.

The exhibition featured a variety of interactive and educational platforms showcasing smart services, modern technologies, and innovative initiatives that support traffic safety. Visitors also received awareness tips and guidance on following traffic laws, using safe transport methods, and avoiding distractions while driving.

One of the exhibition’s highlights was the Traffic Safety Platform, a smart initiative designed to spread traffic awareness through interactive, educational, and statistical content that supports safer driving behaviour and stronger road safety culture within the community.

Visitors explored the platform’s services and features, including its role in supporting awareness campaigns and initiatives that contribute to improving traffic safety and quality of life in Dubai.

Brigadier Al Awar also praised the strong cooperation with strategic partners, particularly the RTA, stressing that institutional collaboration plays a vital role in supporting awareness efforts and achieving traffic safety goals across the emirate.

The exhibition witnessed strong engagement from visitors and shoppers, with awareness materials and educational gifts distributed to introduce the public to Dubai Police’s traffic initiatives and services aimed at enhancing the safety of all road users.
