Dubai: As part of its continued efforts to strengthen family stability and enhance community wellbeing, the Community Development Authority (CDA) in Dubai launched the ‘Nuwat Dubai’ initiative under the Sheikha Hind Bint Maktoum Family Programme. Held in the presence of representatives of supporting entities and strategic partners, the launch event attracted broad community participation.

The initiative aligns with objectives of the Dubai Social Agenda 33, which places families foremost among the priorities for social development through sustainable programmes that strengthen family cohesion and promote psychological and social wellbeing. It also highlights the pivotal role of the ‘Dubai Weddings’ programme in supporting families, enhancing their quality of life, and celebrating the achievements made possible through collective community efforts.

Interactive Activities and Programmes
The event, which was held at the ‘Coffee Lab’ in Al Khawaneej, featured a variety of interactive activities and programmes targeting different segments of the community, including a personality analysis corner, and family, psychological, and social consultation sessions, in addition to community competitions and valuable prizes presented by the ‘National Bonds’. The activities helped create an engaging atmosphere that enhanced family participation and encouraged interaction with the initiative’s goals and messages.
Dr. Namaa Al Shamsi, Director of the Family Development Department at the Community Development Authority, affirmed that the Nuwat Dubai initiative represents a qualitative step in supporting families as the foundation of a cohesive and sustainable society, noting that the initiative reflects the leadership’s vision of investing in people and enhancing family and community wellbeing.

Dr. Al Shamsi said: “The CDA is committed to developing sustainable community initiatives that align with Dubai’s future aspirations, contribute to strengthening families’ psychological and social stability, and build more effective communication channels between families and supporting institutions, in a way that reinforces social cohesion and enhances Dubai’s position as the best city to live, work, and achieve family stability.”

Integrated Social Services System
The initiative embodies the CDA’s approach to empowering families and developing an integrated social services system that responds to the needs of the community, Dr. Al Shamsi added, stressing that promoting family awareness and creating safe and supportive environments are among the key pillars for achieving sustainable social development in Dubai.

The Nuwat Dubai initiative is part of a series of community initiatives implemented by the CDA to strengthen family cohesion, enhance community awareness, and provide interactive platforms that support and empower families to address social and psychological challenges through innovative and sustainable approaches.
