Dubai Police Commander-in-Chief Inspects Al Barsha Police Station

Dubai: His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander‑in‑Chief of Dubai Police, affirmed that Al Barsha Police Station represents an advanced model of modern security work, given the nature of the area, which combines high population density with tourism and commercial activity. “This requires a high degree of field readiness and flexible, proactive plans capable of responding swiftly to evolving security challenges,” he noted.
Al Marri emphasised the importance of leveraging smart technologies and proactive data analysis to support the security system, accelerate response times to reports, and ensure effective intervention – reinforcing Dubai’s position as one of the world’s safest and most secure cities.
The Commander‑in‑Chief made these remarks during the inspection of Al Barsha Police Station as part of the annual inspection programme for general departments and police stations. The inspection was attended by His Excellency Major General Hareb Mohammed Al Shamsi, Deputy Commander‑in‑Chief for Criminal Affairs; His Excellency Major General Eid Mohammed Thani, Assistant Commandant for Criminal Investigation; Brigadier Majid Al Suwaidi, Director of the General Department of Police Stations; Brigadier Dr. Ibrahim bin Saba, Deputy Director of the General Department of Excellence and Pioneering; Brigadier Abdullah Rashid Al Hafeet, Director of Al Barsha Police Station; Brigadier Ahmed Mohammed Al Muhairi, Director of the Inspection and Control Department; Colonel Youssef bin Qaba, Deputy Director of Al Barsha Police Station; Lieutenant Colonel Dr. Abdul Razzaq Abdul Rahim, Head of the Inspection Section; and a number of other officers.
During the inspection tour, Al Marri reviewed the station’s strategic and operational performance indicators, mechanisms for developing security and field work, and plans for enhancing police readiness – in line with the Dubai Police’s commitment to reinforcing safety, improving response efficiency, and elevating the quality of life within its jurisdiction.
Al Marri was briefed on the nature of Al Barsha Police Station’s jurisdiction, one of the most dynamic areas in Dubai. The station covers a geographical area of 175.6 square kilometres, overseeing 10 districts with a combined population of over 1.098 million residents. The area is also home to many of Dubai’s most prominent tourism, economic, and entertainment destinations, including Mall of the Emirates, Dubai Harbour, Global Village, Bluewaters Island, Palm Jumeirah, Dubai Marina, JBR, and Global Village.
Al Marri also reviewed the station’s performance indicators, inspection results, and the preventive and proactive plans implemented to enhance security across residential, tourism, and commercial zones. He received an overview of the criminal transaction statistics and complaints handled by the station throughout 2025, as well as the mechanisms in place to improve the quality of services provided to the public.
During the inspection, the station’s strategic indicators revealed a 98% sense of safety among residents, a 98.9% sense of safety when walking at night, 97.9% security coverage, 97% confidence in the police station near residents, 144,000 smart transactions processed, 98.4% job satisfaction among employees, and 130 development proposals implemented – all of which have contributed to enhancing operational efficiency and the quality of security services.
At the end of the inspection, His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri praised the officers, non‑commissioned officers, personnel, and employees at Al Barsha Police Station for their dedication, acknowledging the positive results and indicators that reflect their high level of readiness and efficiency in both security and service delivery. He stressed the importance of continuously improving performance, accelerating response times, and raising the quality of services offered to the public – in alignment with the Dubai Police’s vision of reinforcing safety, security, and quality of life.
The Commander-in-Chief further directed the station to continue on this path, work as one team, enhance integration across departments, and harness modern technologies and smart solutions to support the security system – thereby preserving security achievements and ensuring the highest levels of community satisfaction and happiness within its jurisdiction.
