Dubai Police Visits Injured Victims of Minibus and Truck Collision

Following the directives of His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander‑in‑Chief of Dubai Police, and under the follow‑up of Major General Saif Muhair Al Mazrouei, Assistant Commandant for Operations Affairs, the Director of the General Department of Traffic, Brigadier Juma Salem bin Suwaidan visited the injured of the collision between a minibus and a truck on Emirates Road last Sunday. The visit took place at Rashid Hospital to check on their health and wish them a speedy recovery.

Brig. Juma bin Suwaidan, accompanied by Colonel Adel Mousa Hassan Al Bloushi, Deputy Director of Al Khawaneej Police Station; Colonel Engineer Abdullah Thani bin Ghalib, Director of the Traffic Accidents Section; and a number of officers, inquired about the health of the injured. He also distributed flowers to them, wishing them a swift return to their normal lives and work.

Brig. Juma bin Suwaidan affirmed that this visit is part of the community initiatives implemented by Dubai Police to strengthen human communication with all segments of society.

He also urged drivers to remain vigilant and attentive, maintain a safe distance, and follow proper procedures in the event of accidents or breakdowns – all of which help prevent accidents and reduce their tragic consequences.

Meanwhile, the injured expressed their gratitude and appreciation to Dubai Police for this humanitarian gesture, affirming that the visit had a positive impact on their morale and helped ease the aftermath of the accident. They commended Dubai Police's commitment to standing by community members in all circumstances.

It is worth noting that the collision occurred on Emirates Road after a truck stopped in the middle of the road following a traffic accident. A minibus travelling in the same direction collided with it, resulting in the deaths of seven people and injuries to nine others with varying degrees of severity – including five serious and four moderate injuries. The injured were transported to hospital to receive the necessary treatment.
