Alhind to Take Over Indian Consular Services in UAE from July 1, 2026

Abu Dhabi: The Embassy of India in the UAE has announced that Alhind Tours and Travels LLC will become the sole outsourced service provider for passport, visa, and consular services across the UAE starting July 1, 2026.

The embassy shared the update through its official social media channels, stating that detailed information regarding operating hours, service procedures, and application processes will be announced through official platforms in the coming weeks.

The transition is expected to impact more than 3.5 million Indian expatriates living in the UAE. Existing service providers, BLS International Services Ltd. and SGIVS Global, will continue handling applications until June 30, 2026. Applicants have been advised to complete any pending submissions through the current providers before the transition takes effect.

16 Service Centres Across the UAE

As previously reported by Maa Gulf News, Alhind is preparing a major expansion to serve the large Indian community in the UAE, which accounts for nearly 40 percent of the country's population.

The company plans to establish 16 dedicated service centres across all seven emirates, including key locations in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Fujairah. The largest facility is expected to open in Bur Dubai, covering approximately 12,000 square feet and featuring more than 45 service counters.

To improve customer experience and reduce waiting times, Alhind has announced a competitive pricing model, charging an all-inclusive service fee of Dh19, excluding mandatory government fees.

More Than 400 Staff Recruited

To support its expanded operations, Alhind has reportedly recruited over 400 employees. The Indian Embassy and Consulate have urged applicants to rely only on official announcements for updates and cautioned against misinformation circulating through unofficial channels.

The embassy emphasized that it is committed to ensuring a smooth and seamless transition of services to the new provider.

Selected Through Competitive Tender Process

The appointment follows a tender issued by the Indian Embassy in November 2025 for outsourcing various consular services at the Embassy of India in Abu Dhabi and the Consulate General of India in Dubai.

According to the embassy, financial bids were submitted by four shortlisted companies:

  • Alhind Tours and Travels LLC
  • DU Digital Global Ltd
  • SGIVS Global LLC
  • VFS Global

Alhind emerged as the successful bidder after submitting the lowest financial bid among the shortlisted companies.
