Dubai: The Dubai Sports Council (DSC) organized a dedicated sports day for senior citizens representing the "Thukher Club," as part of the ongoing "Our Sports Summer" initiative. The event was held in collaboration with the Community Development Authority in Dubai (CDA), Thukher Club, and the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), taking place at the state-of-the-art pitches of Dubai Sports World.

The event saw the attendance and active participation of His Excellency Saeed Hareb, Secretary General of the Dubai Sports Council, alongside Fawzia Faridoon, Manager of the Community Sports Section at the DSC, and several representatives from the DWTC. Thukher Club members engaged in friendly matches across various sports, creating an atmosphere of joy, vitality, and camaraderie among all participants.

The sporting lineup included football, volleyball, badminton, and "Compass"—a game newly introduced to the Dubai Sports World activities roster this year.

In addition to the physical activities, the sports day featured a comprehensive awareness lecture and a practical educational workshop focused on health and first aid. The session equipped the senior participants with essential knowledge on handling sudden health emergencies and potential injuries that can affect anyone in the community, providing them with practical, life-saving response skills.
