Sharjah: Brigadier Khalifa Musbah Al Ketbi, Director of the Central Region Police Department at Sharjah Police (SP), launched a forum on staff wellbeing and positivity at Al Dhaid Literary Council, bringing together the heads of police stations from across the region under the theme “A More Positive and Supportive Work Environment”.
Organised by Sharjah Police through the Central Region Police Department, the event formed part of the leadership's ongoing push to improve the quality of working life for personnel and build a workplace that encourages excellence and creativity. Discussions covered institutional excellence, productivity, and sustainability, and the forum closed with the recognition of outstanding staff for the first half of 2026.

Investing in people

Al Ketbi told attendees that staff wellbeing sits among the core pillars of institutional excellence, reflecting the leadership's conviction that investing in people is the real foundation for improving performance and developing the wider work system.

He said a positive work environment built on appreciation and effective communication encourages initiative and innovation among staff, which in turn lifts job satisfaction, boosts productivity, and strengthens the quality of security services delivered to the community.

Open floor for staff input

The forum's sessions focused on embedding a culture of institutional excellence, the importance of raising productivity, and achieving efficiency in performance. Organisers also opened the floor to staff to raise concerns and put forward suggestions, with officials pledging to take on board ideas and innovations that could help develop the work environment further. Sustainability in administrative practices and daily operations was also highlighted, in line with the wider direction set by Sharjah Police's General Command.

Al Ketbi closed the forum by honouring staff members recognised for their performance during the first half of 2026, in appreciation of their dedication and as encouragement to continue delivering high standards. Officials said the recognition reflects the General Command's broader approach of valuing talent, reinforcing a culture of excellence, and building a healthier, more positive workplace across the force.
