Dubai Brings Key Partners Together to Strengthen Maritime Security

Dubai: Dubai Police has brought together key government and maritime partners to strengthen coordination, enhance operational readiness and support the continued security of Dubai’s ports and maritime gateways, a strategic sector that plays a vital role in industry, transportation, logistics and the wider national economy.

The coordination meeting was chaired by Brigadier Dr Hassan Suhail Al Suwaidi, Director of Ports Police Station, in the presence of Brigadier Jamal Ibrahim Ali, Director of Jebel Ali Police Station, Brigadier Ahmad Abdullah Al Adidi, Deputy Director of Ports Police Station, representatives of internal and external partner entities, and a number of officers.

One Team for Maritime Security
Brigadier Al Suwaidi highlighted the importance of regular coordination between Dubai Police and its partners, noting that bringing relevant entities together helps align priorities, strengthen joint action and achieve shared objectives.

He said such meetings are among the key channels Dubai Police uses to bring perspectives closer together and foster a one team approach that serves the public interest while supporting the delivery of high quality services to citizens and residents.

“The meeting with our partners strengthens cooperation and joint coordination to ensure the continued security of ports and maritime gateways at the highest level, while enhancing the capabilities and resources required to achieve our shared objectives,” he said.

Protecting a Strategic Economic Sector
Discussions focused on strengthening joint efforts and raising preparedness across the maritime sector and maritime gateways, with participating entities exploring ways to enhance coordination and operational capabilities.

The meeting also provided a platform for partners to exchange expertise and best practices aimed at maintaining the security and resilience of this vital sector.
Dubai’s maritime sector represents an important strategic pillar of the economy, supporting the development of industries while facilitating transportation and logistics operations.

Partnership Across Dubai
The meeting brought together internal Dubai Police partners and representatives from the Coast Guard Fourth Squadron, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), Roads and Transport Authority in Dubai (RTA), Dubai Environment and Climate Change Authority, Dubai Municipality, Dubai Maritime Authority, Dubai Resilience Centre, Dubai Customs and Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services.
