Abu Dhabi: Bollywood superstars Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan presented a token of gratitude to Taghrid Al Saeed, Executive Director of Marketing, Communications and Events at Miral, in recognition of her contribution to promoting Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, as a leading destination for international entertainment and cultural events.

The gesture highlighted the strong relationship between the Indian film industry and Abu Dhabi, particularly through the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards, which have played a significant role in bringing Bollywood's biggest stars and global audiences to the UAE capital.

Taghrid Al Saeed has been instrumental in strengthening Yas Island's position as a world-class entertainment destination through major international events, strategic partnerships and cultural initiatives.

The recognition comes as Yas Island prepares to welcome the 27th edition of the IIFA Weekend & Awards, scheduled for January 22–23, 2027, at Etihad Arena, Abu Dhabi.

The upcoming celebration will feature some of Indian cinema's biggest names, including Salman Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Shahid Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna and several other prominent personalities.

The occasion further reflects the growing cultural ties between India and the UAE, with Abu Dhabi continuing to strengthen its reputation as a global hub for cinema, tourism and entertainment.
