Dubai:Her Excellency Reem bint Ibrahim Al-Hashimi, UAE Minister of State for International Cooperation and Director General of the Expo office, has recently visited the Dubai Police General HQ to discuss ways of cementing the cooperation between the Office and Dubai Police.

Welcomed by His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al-Marri, the Commander-in-chief of Dubai Police, HE Al-Hashimi reviewed Dubai Police security efforts and plans for the global event which will now open on 1 October 2021 and run until 31 March 2022.  Her Excellency was also briefed on Dubai Police's projects and initiatives in regards to dealing with the "COVID-19" pandemic, and the relevant precautionary measures taken during EXPO.

Her Excellency Reem Al-Hashimi expressed her great appreciation for the efforts of the work teams at the Dubai Police General Command, and their readiness to secure the International Expo, in light of the "COVID-19" pandemic, pointing out that Dubai Police has professionally and innovatively dealt with the unprecedented circumstances as per the directives of H.H Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

For his part, Lt General Al-Marri reaffirmed the force's commitment to implement the directives of the country's leadership to unify the relevant efforts of various national authorities and their sub-departments to prepare for the Expo per best practices and international standards.  

Also in presence were: Expert Major General Khalil Ibrahim Al Mansouri, Assistant Commander-in-chief for Criminal Investigation Affairs; PhD Major General Al Salal Saeed bin Huwaidi Al Falasi, Assistant Commandant for Administration Affairs; PhD Major General Ahmad Eid Al Mansouri, Director of the General Department of Forensic Science and Criminology; and Eng. Major General Kamel Butti Al Suwaidi, Director of the General Department of Operations at Dubai Police.
