Dubai:The Dubai Police Innovation Lab has recently received accreditation by the Global Innovation Institute® for fully meeting the high standards of capability and enablement for innovation practice established by the Institute. 

Dubai Police is the first policing agency in the UAE to be awarded AInL® accreditation and was listed among 52 other accredited innovation labs around the world.

The accreditation certificate was received by H.E Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Merri, Commander-in-chief of Dubai Police, who praised the Innovation team efforts and reaffirmed Dubai Police's prioritization of innovation as one of its key strategies, which comes in line with the government plans for a 'year of preparations for the next 50 years' and the ' UAE Centennial 2071'. 

Colonel Lieutenant Dr. Ibrahim Bin Sebaa Al Marri, Chairperson of the Innovation Council at Dubai Police, said that this remarkable achievement demonstrates Dubai Police's well-planned and systematic innovation strategy, which was designed to provide the best policing work and services that meet the public's needs and realize their happiness. 

"The Dubai Police Innovation Lab was set to launch an external innovation platform in 2021 that will engage both local and international communities in introducing their innovative ideas and solutions to build a better future for us all," Col. Lt. Al Marri revealed. 

"Thanks to implementing innovation in security work and services, Dubai Police has been making rapid progress. With this accreditation, we are ahead of a future full of innovative and qualitative achievements and projects, which the laboratory has been working on throughout the last ten months to improve the policing system," Col. Lt. Al Marri added. 
   

 For his part, Mr. Murad Al Qasem, CEO of SARI, and GInI Authorized Innovation Assessor (AInAs) congratulated Dubai Police for this achievement in the field of innovation.

" A team of certified assessors from SARI company, an accredited entity by “GInI”, paid an assessment visit to the Dubai Police Innovation Lab," Mr. Al Qasem added.

"During the assessment visit, the Innovation Lab had been checked and found to be as per the high standards of capability and enablement for innovation practice. It was striking that the Dubai Police Innovation Lab, which is run by a trained and qualified specialist team, has been build based on clear strategic direction and excellent infrastructure", Mr. Al Qasem confirmed. 

“The safety standards level of the lab’s halls, which are built to encourage creative thinking to support the working process of the force, is one of the main reasons that Dubai Police obtained the AInL® from GInI," Mr. Al Qasem added.
