Dubai:Residents and visitors will be spoilt for choice during the latest weekend of the 26th Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) with lots of family fun and great retail deals on offer.
 
Organised by Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), this DSF weekend line-up perfectly complements the sunny skies and cool temperatures that make Dubai the world’s favourite destination in the winter season. 
 


RETAIL
From 21 to 23 January, the DSF Amber Millionaire Weekend promotion will see Al Tayer Amber Card Members earn points and enjoy great deals at a huge range of big name stores. Over the weekend a total of 10 Al Tayer Amber Card Members will win one million points – equivalent to AED10,000 – when they spend AED2,500 or more in participating outlets, which include department stores Bloomingdale’s and Harvey Nichols, high-end fashion favourites Armani Exchange, Moschino and Dolce & Gabbana, beauty experts Kiehl’s and eateries Caffe Nero and More Café plus many other venues. As part of the promotion, Al Tayer Amber Card Members can also earn extra points; Classic members will have a chance of picking up 5,000 Bonus Points, Select Members 10,000 Bonus Points and Plus Members 15,000 Bonus Points.

Shoe lovers can step into a footwear paradise at Shoetopia at The Dubai Mall’s Fashion Catwalk. Held until 30 January, the event features more than 30 limited edition shoes for sale along with the latest looks from sneakers to stilettos, exclusive displays of iconic private shoe collections, in-store promotions and launches plus discussions about the future of footwear, sustainability and more. Visitors can take part in great Personalise Your Shoes sessions with unique customisation experiences to fit daily themes, while shoppers who spend a minimum of AED350 can customise their shoes for free with a wide selection of embellishments to choose from. The Slip Into Your Shoes Virtually activation lets visitors try on shoes using a QR code and quickly shop for their favourite styles while the 3D Shoe Printing experience will demonstrate the technology that is used to make some of the latest style soles being worn today. And because the best shoes are meant to be seen, visitors can share their style online with Shoetopia Instagrammable moments.

CONCERTS & LIVE EVENTS
Much loved musical legends Enrico Macias and the Al Orchestra will take to the stage for two shows at the Dubai Opera on 21 and 22 January. Famous for his joyful music and memorable songs, Enrico’s show will feature hits spanning his 50-year career with songs performed in different languages and a variety of musical styles. A true megastar and an icon of Arabic music, Amr Diab will perform live on 22 January at the Dubai International Stadium. An undisputed all-round entertainment talent, Amr is an actor, composer and singer who has won countless awards and sold huge amounts of records around the globe. Visitors to Mall of the Emirates can experience the Trolls Singalong Entertainment Show from 21 to 30 January. Families can meet, play with Poppy, Branch and the entire Trolls crew, including special guest Guy Diamond. The mall’s Central Galleria will be transformed into a magical village where little ones can meet their favourite characters.
 
The best 16 Esports teams in the world will battle it out at the PMGC 2020 Finals, which will be played from 21 to 24 January at the Coca-Cola Arena and streamed live online around the globe. The pinnacle of the PUBG MOBILE global Esports programme, teams in the finals will compete for an incredible prize pool of USD2 million, the biggest in history of PUBG MOBILE. The PMGC 2020 Finals will be available to watch on the PUBG MOBILE Esports YouTube, Facebook and Twitch channels. 
 
Residents and visitors can enjoy an exclusive preview of what Expo 2020 has to offer at the Expo 2020 Pavilions Premiere. Offering a tour of the long-awaited mega event’s Sustainability Pavilion before Expo 2020 begins in October, guests have the opportunity to visit the Expo site in Dubai South from 22 January to 10 April. The thematic Sustainability Pavilion, also known as Terra, will be open to visitors five days a week with tickets costing AED25. Daily places are limited, and tickets must be booked in advance by visiting www.expo2020dubai.com/pavilions-premiere.

Attendees at all events must wear masks at all times and maintain social distancing in accordance with the Dubai government’s health and safety rules.
 
PERFORMING ARTS

Singer-songwriter Leone Murphy will perform at La Mer from 21 to 23 January with live shows at 1pm to 5pm during the weekend. Visitors to Mercato Mall in Jumeirah can catch a show by Thelmo Paroles as he performs super comedy routines, suspense acts and unicycle tricks on 21 and 23 January 12pm to 5pm. The mall will also host the Roaming White Alien act over the weekend, who will appear to greet shoppers at 12pm and 5pm while children are invited to Mary Poppins Garden at 12pm and 5pm each day over the weekend. 
 
LEISURE AND ENTERTAINMENT 
Modesh and Dana will make an appearance to meet fans and families at Dubai Festival City Mall on 21 January at 1.30pm to 4.30pm. The best friends will also visit Ibn Battuta Mall for more fun on 23 January with live appearances at 1.30pm to 4.30pm.

Until 30 January, stunning sights and shopping fun can be enjoyed at the Dubai Festival City Market. Showcasing a variety of homegrown brands with a rustic yet youthful look and feel from Wednesday to Saturday, this spirited outdoor bazaar has something for everyone, from eco-friendly products to eccentric fashions. The market is held from 4pm to 10pm. 

The Dubai Shopping Festival Market at Al Khawaneej’s super Enchanted Garden, inspired by Alice in Wonderland, continues with another weekend filled with adventure, fun, food and more. Market opening times are Sunday to Wednesday, 6pm to 12am and Thursday to Saturday, 4pm to 2am. 
 
The Dubai Shopping Festival Market at Al Seef Presented by Al Foah will host the Waterfront Festival until 23 January. Celebrating the beauty of the creek, the festival will feature lots of water-themed activities. Market timings are weekdays from 4pm to 10pm and weekends from 2pm to 12am, while families can enjoy the great outdoors at the DSF community market at Hatta Wadi Hub.
