Dubai Police Academy is certified as Great Place to Work

Dubai:The Dubai Police Academy has officially been certified by the Great Place to Work® for their best work environment and corporate happiness for the second consecutive year. The Dubai Police Academy’s workplace index has reached 99.1% on the "Great Place to Work" survey.

Brigadier PhD Ghaith Ghanim Al Suwaidi, Director of Dubai Police Academy, said the achievement is a result of concerted efforts and endeavours of the Academy staff and employees, in spite of the challenges posed by the COVID-19 outbreak.
"The Academy prioritizes promoting concepts of happiness and positivity among its employees by providing them the best work environment as per to the ideal standards that focus on trust, respect and fairness," Brig. Al Suwaidi added.

The Great Place to Work® is a global research, training and consultancy firm that identifies the best workplaces in over 50 countries worldwide. The official list ranks the best employers based on the confidential feedback of employees and an audit of management policies and practices.
Ibrahim Al Mugarbel, Director of Great Place to Work Middle East, praised the Academy for being recognized as a great place to work for the second consecutive year. "It is indeed a remarkable achievement for an environment that is filled with pressure and challenges, especially while serving the community in the fight against the global (COVID-19) pandemic ", he added.
To select the ‘Best Workplaces”, Great Place to Work conducts an evaluation of each participating company. Two-thirds of the company’s score is based on the results of the Institute’s proprietary Trust Index© survey, which is sent to the employees from each company. The survey asks questions related to their attitudes about the management’s credibility, employee engagement and job satisfaction. The other third of the scoring is based on the company’s responses to the Institute’s Culture Audit©, which includes detailed questions about pay and benefits programs and a series of open-ended questions about hiring, communication, and development.
Each entry is judged according to performance in eight key areas: Leadership, wellbeing, giving something back, personal growth, fair deal and how members of staff feel towards their manager, company and team.
