Dubai: The Dubai Police General Command has recently honoured a number of strategic partners and active members who contributed to the activities launched by the force’s community-based initiative ‘Positive Spirit’ during the first quarter of 2021.
According to Brigadier Khalid Ali Shuhail, Director of the General Department of Community Happiness at Dubai Police, the ‘Positive Spirit’ initiative has reached 19,971 beneficiaries and delivered 140 awareness lectures to consolidate the values of tolerance, coexistence, and dialogue among members of society.
“Organized within the framework of the ‘Hamdan bin Mohammed Initiative for Community Sports’, ‘Positive Spirit’ aims at consolidating the values of tolerance, coexistence and dialogue among the members of society through hosting and organizing many community-based events and activities,” he explained.
Brigadier Shuhail added that the initiative also aims at raising the sense of safety and security amongst community members. "We are keen on boosting the concept of community policing. Therefore, we are organizing this initiative that will surely reflect on the reputation and image of the Dubai Police and supports its objectives and strategic vision of spreading positive spirit and happiness across the community," he noted.
Brigadier Shuhail said opinion polls conducted on how happy beneficiaries and strategic partners with the Initiative recorded 89.5% on the happiness meter.
Brigadier Shuhail said that the "Positive Spirit" initiative witnessed huge interaction from members of the public especially on social media channels with 10,633,486,888 views on Instagram, 801,518 interactions on Tweeter, and 276,597 views on Facebook.
