Game of Thrones’ actor Nathalie Emmanuel  confirmed as first celebrity at  Middle East Film and Comic Con 2022
Abu Dhabi: Nathalie Emmanuel, from the HBO fantasy series Game of Thrones and Fast & Furious films Furious 7 and F9, has been confirmed as the first of a host of international celebrity attendees to be appearing at the 2022 Middle East Film & Comic Con (MEFCC). Supported by the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi), the event will offer visitors the chance to meet their favourite superheroes, break out the cosplay and hear from A-listers from the silver screen and leading streaming services, including Netflix. 
Nathalie will be joining the ranks of previous world-renowned attendees including Jason Momoa, Zachary Levi, Benedict Wong, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Ezra Miller, Iwan Rheon, Tara Strong, Seth Green, Gillian Anderson and William Shatner. Her presence sets an incredible precedent for the 2022 edition of MEFCC, which is shaping up to be the best yet, with more exciting announcements in the pipeline. 
 
Taking place from the 3rd to the 5th of March, 2022,  MEFCC will draw in a series of VIPs from cult-hit series’ and movies for meet-and-greets, insightful talks, interviews, and many more event activations. A major highlight is the recently-confirmed booth from one who needs no introduction: Marvel. With fan-favorites like Iron Man and The Avengers, to more recent icons like Shang-Chi, the Marvel booth is sure to be a Comic Con crowd pleaser and bring super-fans closer to the action-packed universe of Super Heroes, villains and mutants, alike. Prepare to unite and stay tuned for more details on what the Marvel booth has in store!

Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre will serve as the home for this edition of the hugely popular event – which has welcomed throngs of fans and guests each year until early 2020. Commenting on the confirmed participants in the early stages, Show Director Michael Lamprecht said, “We have had the pleasure of delighting our visitors over the past decade by offering the chance to meet some of the world’s leading names in the industry, which has cemented our loyal follower base. We are honoured to be welcoming back Marvel, and to host Nathalie Emmanuel as the first of what will be a host of globally renowned celebrities at this year’s edition of the event. This level of attendance seen right off the bat, signifies the growth of the event and its popularity as we look ahead to 2022.”
 
Safety of participants and guests remains a key priority, with MEFCC adhering to organiser Informa’s AllSecure health and safety standards. Measures will also include the implementation of federal guidelines from the Abu Dhabi Executive Office such as mandatory face masks and social distancing.
