Dubai Police to showcase Latest Innovations and Smart Apps at GITEX 2021

Dubai: The Dubai Police have officially announced their participation in the region’s largest IT exhibition GITEX 2021, which is set to run from October 17 to 21, 2021 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.  

Brigadier Khalid Nasser Al Razooqi, Director of the General Department of Artificial Intelligence at Dubai Police, said their participation is in line with the directives of His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, the Commander-in-chief of Dubai Police, to showcase the Force’s latest array of superior innovations and projects as well as the latest smart services and gadgets developed to ensure the safety and happiness of the community.

The 41st edition of GITEX will see Dubai Police showcasing 15 various smart apps and systems developed by the General Department of Artificial Intelligence, including their popular smart app and official website that offer convenient services round the clock.  

Moreover, Dubai Police’s stand will feature a Smart Police Station (SPS), which operates 24 hours, seven days a week and offers 27 vital security services and 33 fully automated community-based sub-services. 

Brig. Al Razooqi confirmed that the Department would also be unveiling their latest interactive and VR game, ‘Who’s the Culprit?’ which offers players the opportunity to become detectives to sniff out criminals and reveal their criminal motives. In addition, they will be promoting the ‘Expo 2020 Adventures’ game, which was recently developed by the Force in cooperation with the Expo 2020 Office to help players learn about Expo wonders by taking challenges and solving puzzles.  


GITEX visitors will have the chance to learn more about Dubai Police’s smart policing systems and services, including the smart impound service, criminal status of financial cases service, Sail Safely service, the lost and found system, and other services that ensure the happiness and security of society. Dubai Police will also be displaying their digital research and studies platform, which allows the public to view future studies and research by simply scanning QR codes with their phones. 

Brig.  Al Razooqi added that they will be showcasing their Strategic Foresight System which utilises machine learning and artificial intelligence technologies to help analysts and experts conduct forward-looking security studies and generate relevant reports. 

The director of the General Department of Artificial Intelligence at Dubai Police further noted that they would showcase an intelligent device that monitors pedestrian crossings using artificial intelligence technologies to detect violators who do not give way to pedestrians at zebra crossings.

Brig. Al Razooqi said they would be showcasing the Smart Inquiry Project in Gold Souk, which allows customers and tourists to access all necessary information and services of the market shops and conveniently contact the concerned authorities at Dubai Police when making complaints or filing.

Furthermore, Brig. Al Razooqi said Dubai Police would be showcasing a police dog training simulator and an advanced bodycam that is directly linked with the Force’s command and control centre (operations room).

Dubai Police stand will also be hosting some of its tourist luxury patrols, which visitors can learn more about and take commemorative photos with.
