Dubai Police Commander-in-chief: Flag Day is to renew Our Loyalty and Belongingness

Dubai: The Dubai Police would like to extend their sincerest congratulations to His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, Their Highnesses Members of the Supreme Council, the Rulers of all the Emirates, Deputy Rulers, Crown Princes, and to all Emiratis and UAE residents on the occasion of the UAE Flag Day. 

In a statement marking the national occasion, His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, the commander-in-chief of Dubai Police, said that UAE Flag Day is to renew loyalty to our wise leadership and take pride in our proud history.

"The Flag Day is a national occasion during which we renew our loyalty and belonging to our homeland and our wise leadership, a gesture we are determined to instil in the hearts of future generations," he added. 

Lt. Gen Al Marri said this year's celebration is different as the UAE closes in for its golden jubilee. "The UAE presses ahead with renewed optimism as it continues to stage a remarkable recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic and obtain further achievements such as launching the Hope Probe and hosting the whole world at EXPO 2020." 

"Our wise leaders have set out ambitious plans for another half-century of achievements and rolled out plans for 50 new projects and initiatives to lead towards further prosperity," Lt. Gen Al Marri continued. 

The commander-in-chief of Dubai Police explained that "true citizenship is about working together, rising together and protecting our homeland. Our eyes are watchful with sincerity, dedication and honesty to raise the UAE's flag at all international events." 

On Wednesday, 3rd November at 11:00 a.m., the Dubai Police General HQ is set to join the UAE leadership, citizens, and residents in celebrating the country's Flag Day and will raise the flag high and proud at the HQ premises. 

Held on 3rd November every year, Flag Day marks the accession of the UAE President, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

It is an initiative that began in 2013, one that has proved immensely popular and has grown in strength to strength with each passing year, and one that unites the nation behind our national flag, paying honour and respect too to the extraordinary leadership provided to the homeland by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa.
