Dubai: His Excellency Philip Edward Davis, Prime Minister of the Bahamas, has recently visited the Dubai Smart Police Station (SPS) at Expo 2020, which provides policing services in seven languages to visitors of the global event round the clock and without human intervention.

HE Davis was accompanied by a high-level delegation including the Hon. Frederick A. Mitchell, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mario Bowleg, Minister of Youth, Sports and Culture, The Commissioner of Police, Paul Rolle, and Tony Joudi, the Non-Resident Ambassador for The United Arab Emirates. 

The delegation was welcomed by Major General Dr Mohammad Abdullah Al Murr, Director of the General Department of Human Rights, Captain Dr. Abdullah Al-Sheikh, Head of the Diplomatic and Consular Affairs at the General Department of Criminal Investigation, and other senior officers. 

During the visit, HE Davis and the accompanying delegation were briefed on the self-service station, which enables customers to complete transactions smoothly and without visiting the traditional police stations or waiting in queues. 

The SPS offers Expo 2020 visitors 27 key services, such as reporting crimes and traffic incidents, and 33 community-based services. They can also visit the SPS to obtain permits and certificates conveniently and easily communicate with officers who speak seven different languages through video calls.

At the end of his visit, HE Davis commended the smart and innovative services provided by Dubai Police towards ensuring the safety, security and happiness of Expo 2020 visitors.
