Dubai Police Summer Programs attract 1300 Students

Dubai: The Dubai Police Summer Programs have proven successful among students and their parents, as 1,300 students from different nationalities have joined the activities since the beginning of the summer break. 

Launched in the 1980s, The Dubai Police Summer Programs witnessed a turning point in 2018 when they were offered for all nationalities and at different centres affiliated with Dubai's various police stations. 

During an inspection visit to Al Safa Student Centre, Brigadier Abdullah Khadem Al Sorour, Director of the Bur Dubai Police Station, said that collaboration and cooperation with other partners contributed to the programs' success. He further extended his appreciation to them, including the Emirates Schools Establishments (ESE), the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), the Dubai Sports Council, and many other General Departments and Police Stations at Dubai Police.  

Brig. Al Sorour was welcomed with a military parade conducted by the students who went through similar and intensive training to that of Dubai Police cadets for the performance.

Meanwhile, Lieutenant Tariq Saeed, a Bur Dubai Summer Programs coordinator, explained that the students had been engaged in sports and military activities and several field visits to hone their creative and innovative skills and enhance their sense of security.       

Lieutenant Khalid Mohammed Banasser explanied about the Smart Police Station services to the students.
