Dubai: The Dubai Foundation for Women and Children (DFWAC) has organised a training workshop for employees of the General Pension and Social Security Authority (GPSSA) to enhance their understanding of occupational safety and prevent workplace accidents and injuries that can negatively impact mental health.

The workshop, presented by Amna Ibrahim Al Mutawa, Psychological Services Manager at DFWAC, was held in celebration of World Day for Safety and Health at Work. This day is celebrated annually on April 28 by the foundation and global communities alike.
"We are committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of all employees in the workplace. The training workshop organized by the Dubai Foundation for Women and Children at GPSSA headquarters emphasizes our dedication to raising awareness and protecting individuals against workplace accidents and illnesses,” said HE Sheikha Saeed Al Mansouri, Acting Director General of Dubai Foundation for Women and Children.

“Through introducing safety tools, assessing potential risks, and implementing legislation, regulations, and laws, we strive to continuously improve occupational health and safety performance in the workplace." She added. 
Al Mansouri emphasized that the Foundation is keen to provide an ideal work environment where staff members are cared for and health and safety standards are prioritized. 

She highlighted the importance of setting health and safety standards as a top priority, as well as enabling employees to effectively manage work pressures and minimize their impact. By adopting strategies that enhance safety and health systems and leveraging the organization's expertise in this field, the foundation aims to create a work environment that supports employee well-being and promotes continuous improvement.
