Dubai: Guru Nanak Darbar Gurudwara, Dubai, marked the auspicious occassion of Guru Gobind Singhji Prakash Purab and celebrated its 12th anniversary with a grand ceremony on Sunday 21st Jan 2024. The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Indian Ambassador to the UAE Sunjay Sudhir and Vandana Sudhir.

Sunjay Sudhir, in his address, extended warm wishes on behalf of the Embassy of India and commended the Gurudwara's role in fostering community spirit and religious harmony. Vandana Sudhir also conveyed her heartfelt congratulations to the entire congregation on the dual celebration.

Dr.Surender Singh Kandhari, Chairman Guru Nanak Darbar Gurudwara Dubai in his speech mentioned, “In the last 12 years, our Gurudwara has become a beacon of love, compassion, and community service. The spirit of "seva," has been the guiding force behind all our endeavours. I am pleased to announce that since the inception of Guru Nanak Darbar Gurudwara, we have served langar to an incredible 9 million visitors. This achievement is a testament to the unwavering commitment of our dedicated volunteers who tirelessly work to ensure that no one in our community goes hungry and looks forward to continuing its commitment to serving the community and promoting the teachings of Sikhism in the years to come”.

The festivities included prayers, kirtan by Bhai Yadwinder Singh & Bibi Amrita Kaur & Bhai Simarpreet Singh and the children of the Gurmat class from the Guru Nanak Darbar Gurudwara Dubai. The event concluded with langar, symbolizing the spirit of unity and sharing, integral to Sikh traditions.

Guru Nanak Darbar Gurudwara expressed gratitude to all attendees, volunteers, and well-wishers who contributed to the success of the celebration.
