Dubai: Tactical police units and rapid intervention teams continue to arrive in Dubai to participate in the UAE SWAT Challenge 2024, which is set to take place from February 3rd to 7th at the Al Ruwayyah Training Facility in Dubai.

Dr Major Abdullah Al Sheikh, Head of the International Coordination Team in the Organising Committee for the UAE SWAT Challenge 2024, confirmed that tactical teams from various countries around the world are eager to participate in the fifth edition of the Challenge this year, following the unparalleled success of the previous four editions.

 Al Sheikh pointed out that this year's Challenge will see new teams competing for the first time, alongside returning teams from within and outside the country. He noted that the Challenge's reputation has become a focal point for police forces and tactical teams, aiming to enhance readiness levels by exchanging expertise and exploring best practices in the Challenge's competitions.

The UAE SWAT Challenge aims to boost competitiveness and ensure the sustainability of efficiency in the performance of security agencies across their various specializations, including the work of special units and enhancing their readiness to face challenges and risks. 

The UAE SWAT Challenge also focuses on enhancing the exchange of experiences among participating tactical teams, acquiring the latest global practices in rapid intervention units, and assessing the efficiency and readiness in handling various challenges.
