Sharjah: A delegation from Moscow State University (MSU), one of Russia’s prestigious universities renowned for its leadership in scientific research and innovation, has evinced keen interest in the innovation projects at the Sharjah Research, Technology, and Innovation Park (SRTI Park).

The delegation included postgraduate students and researchers from the Executive MBA program, along with faculty members.

The visitors were briefed by the Business Development Team of SRTI Park on its vision and role in fostering collaboration between academia, industry, and government to transform scientific research into viable investment projects.

The delegation was introduced to the key sectors that SRTI Park is actively developing, including sustainability, mobility technologies, additive manufacturing, and healthcare technologies. The discussion also highlighted SRTI Park’s mechanisms for supporting startups, attracting global companies, and encouraging investors to contribute to the knowledge economy and R&D sector.

To highlight investment opportunities, the delegation was briefed on the growing academic and research collaboration between the UAE and Russia, reflecting the depth of economic and scientific partnerships between the two countries.  

The delegation had the opportunity to explore some of SRTI Park’s flagship projects, including the 3D-printed villa, a pioneering innovation in sustainable construction, providing a peep into how this revolutionary technology enables the rapid and efficient construction of complex structures.

The delegation also visited Sharjah Open Innovation Lab (SoiLAB), a cutting-edge facility supporting advanced industries by developing and testing new technologies. The lab plays a crucial role in supporting applied research in both academia and commercial applications.
Since Moscow State University has significantly contributed to groundbreaking research in physics, chemistry, and mathematics, the visit promises to boost scientific research and drive technological solutions through mutual cooperation.
