Dubai: Dubai Fashion Week’s autumn installment was bold & brash and featured a line of rising stars of the Middle East complemented with established guests from the accident. With over twenty shows of a high standard, delivered with a red carpet showcase worthy of Hollywood, it is only possible to draw the eye to a handful of outstanding shows. Monday's star was Emirati designer Heba Jasmi’s ‘Born to Rise’ fusion of Arabian sensibility and twenties American chic.

Tuesday featured the Latin magic of Erick Bendaña, whose golden collection of the sun brought the house down and quickly became a vital sensation. Not to be outdone, Dutch designers rallied with Chic & Holland's exotic evening wear, stunning but ultimately wearable indulgence.Wednesday showed no change in pace, with the Italian showcase featuring the stylish conservatism of D-Exterior and Le Twins, while on Thursday, Jozeph Diarbakrli's dark, decadent and dramatic show wonderful the audience over with his brazen panache. Friday's showcase featured the restrained elegance of Otté and the flamboyant retro Americana chic of Tara Babylon.

Last but not least was the smouldering elegance of Lili Blanc's autumnal hues, which brought the summer and the September showcase to a fitting conclusion. Well organised and perfectly executed, Dubai's fashion week is rising as the West's star falls.
