Dubai: In line with the nationwide “Dream of a Nation” campaign supporting the UAE national football team in its quest to qualify for the FIFA World Cup 2026, Dubai Police, through its Esaad Privilege Card Centre, hosted a special gathering to honour the team’s players, coaches, and management staff.

The event, held at the Dubai Police Officers Club, saw the team presented with the Esaad Card, which provides exclusive discounts across key economic and commercial sectors. It also carried a strong message of encouragement and national pride as the team prepares for its decisive playoff matches.

The ceremony was attended by Major General Saif Muhair Al Mazrouei, Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Operations at Dubai Police; HE Mohammed Abdullah Hazzam Al Dhaheri, Secretary General of the UAE Football Association (UAEFA); Colonel Salah Al Marzouqi, Acting Director of the Esaad Card Centre; along with senior officers, officials, and the full squad of players and staff.

Colonel Al Marzouqi emphasised that the celebration reflects Dubai Police’s commitment to supporting the national team under the “Dream of a Nation” campaign, which aims to rally nationwide backing as the players take on the crucial playoff stage. He extended heartfelt wishes to the entire squad and the UAE Football Association for success, urging them to give their all in pursuit of the nation’s dream of reaching the upcoming World Cup.

The UAE national team will soon travel to Doha for the 2026 World Cup playoff, where they face Oman on 11 October, followed by a decisive match against Qatar on 14 October.
