Hyderabad: As a key development in cricket administration, renowned sports administrator Vankina Chamundeswaranath, hailing from Kagupadu near Tadepalligudem in Andhra Pradesh, has become the first Telugu person to be elected as a member of the APEX Council. Nath, known for his decades-long association with the Andhra Cricket Association (ACA), brings with him a wealth of experience in cricket management and talent development. His appointment to the Apex Council is seen as a move to strengthen governance, transparency, and grassroots cricket infrastructure. During his tenure, he also established the Cuddapah Stadium.

Speaking after his selection, Nath expressed gratitude to the cricketing fraternity for their continued faith in his leadership. “Cricket is not just a sport—it’s a passion that unites millions. My focus will be on improving facilities for players, promoting women’s cricket, and ensuring fair opportunities for emerging talent,” he said.
