Abu Dhabi: Masood will report directly to the Group CEO, and his appointment comes as part of Etisalat Group’s ongoing transformation strategy. The company is focusing on diversifying its business, exploring new growth opportunities, accelerating digital innovation, expanding its geographic footprint, and improving operational efficiency. This move also reflects Etisalat’s commitment to maintaining its leadership in digital transformation, delivering innovative services to customers, and investing in the development and empowerment of UAE nationals.

With more than 20 years of experience in telecommunications and technology, Masood has built a strong track record in both operational and financial leadership. He has successfully developed high-performing teams, fostered innovative work cultures, and implemented strategies that improved overall business performance.

Currently, he serves on the boards of Al Yah Satellite Communications Company (Yahsat), the UAE Space Agency, and Etihad Aviation Group. Previously, he was CEO of Yahsat for nearly a decade and held the position of Vice President at Mubadala’s Information and Communications Technology unit. He has also served on the board of Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company (Du) and held roles at Dubai Investment Group and the Executive Office of the Government of Dubai.

Masood holds an MBA in Finance from McGill University in Canada and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Systems Engineering from Boston University in the United States.
