Dubai Police and MBRF Explore Ways to Enhance Joint Cooperation

Dubai: His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander‑in‑Chief of Dubai Police, received His Excellency Jamal bin Huwaireb, Executive Director of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation (MBRF), at the Dubai Police Officers' Club. The meeting aimed to explore ways to enhance joint cooperation between the two parties in the fields of knowledge and training.

The meeting was attended by Brigadier Ali Al Mansouri, Director of the General Department of Community Happiness; Brigadier Dr. Expert Hamdan Al Ghasia, Director of the Future Foresight Centre; and a number of officers and employees from both sides.

Lt. Gen. Al Marri welcomed H.E Jamal bin Huwaireb and his accompanying delegation, reaffirming Dubai Police's commitment to building bridges of communication to exchange knowledge, expertise, and best practices with local entities across various fields. He also praised the partnership with the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation in the knowledge and training sectors.

The meeting discussed the added value and distinctive impact of the ‘Future Skills Academy’ project, launched by the Foundation, for employees and the youth. The project aims to bridge the digital divide and empower people in the Arab region to acquire future skills that prepare them for a changing labour market amid rapid technological developments. This is achieved by providing global expertise and tailored educational experiences as part of a global knowledge project in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme.

The meeting also reviewed the ‘Dubai International Program for Writing’, which aims to enrich the literary and intellectual environment of the UAE by enabling and qualifying a new generation of writers and creators to produce literary and knowledge works.

The discussions also touched on the outcomes of the ‘Knowledge Summit’ and the ‘Youth Knowledge Forum’, along with an overview of the role of the ‘Digital Knowledge Hub’, the largest open Arab digital platform dedicated to enriching digital Arabic content. The Hub provides diverse and comprehensive knowledge resources (books, studies, articles, manuscripts, audio and visual materials) to serve various segments of society, promoting the global dissemination of Arab knowledge. The meeting also covered the ‘Knowledge Dialogues’ initiative, which hosts a select group of thinkers, experts, and decision‑makers to discuss developmental and knowledge challenges through interactive panel discussions.
