Dubai Police Wins the Social Excellence Award

Dubai: In a new achievement that adds to its record of excellence, the General Department of Training at Dubai Police has won the Social Excellence Award in the category of Outstanding Social Digital Content, in recognition of its pioneering efforts to leverage technology and electronic games to promote community awareness and positive behaviour.

The award was presented during the 5th edition of the Social Excellence Award ceremony, held at the InterContinental Ras Al Khaimah Resort & Spa – Mina Al Arab, in the presence of national leaders, representatives from government and private entities, and award partners—reflecting the significance of the award and its role in supporting impactful community initiatives.

This edition witnessed 130 submissions from individuals and organizations across 12 main categories, highlighting the competitiveness and innovation in social initiatives and reinforcing the award’s position as a national platform for excellence and sustainability.

This recognition reflects Dubai Police’s strategic direction toward innovation in training and awareness, transforming educational and security concepts into interactive digital experiences that help build a safe and aware society.

Brigadier Ahmad Mirdas, Director of the General Department of Training, stated that this achievement is the result of the wise leadership’s continuous support and commitment to advancing training and awareness systems using the latest technologies, emphasizing that the award will further drive the development of innovative future-focused initiatives.

Brigadier Dr. Abdullah Jasim, Deputy Director of the General Department of Training, highlighted that the award reflects strong teamwork and cross-departmental integration to achieve sustainable community impact, noting that the upcoming phase will see further expansion and development of digital initiatives.

Brigadier Dr. Mansoor Alrazooqi, Director of the Virtual Technology Centre, emphasized that this achievement demonstrates the successful use of electronic games and virtual reality as innovative awareness tools, reaching a wide audience locally and globally, and creating a measurable positive behavioural impact.
