Dubai: Dubai's General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) has announced that visitors can now obtain a single-entry tourist visa within 48 working hours after completing the required application procedures, as part of ongoing efforts to streamline travel and enhance visitor experience.

According to the GDRFA, single-entry tourist visas are available for either 30-day or 60-day stays. The authority said visas are expected to be issued within 48 working hours once all necessary documents have been submitted and verified.

In a statement shared through its official social media channels, the GDRFA encouraged travelers to submit applications through accredited tourism and travel offices, which offer simplified and expedited processing services.

Applicants are required to provide a recent personal photograph, a copy of a valid passport, and, for certain nationalities, a copy of their national identity card. Once the documentation is complete, applications are processed within a short timeframe.

The initiative is part of Dubai’s broader strategy to strengthen its position as a leading global tourism destination by expanding digital services and simplifying travel procedures from the application stage through arrival.

Industry representatives noted that many tourist visa applications are approved within hours after all requirements are met. In some cases, visitors have reportedly received their visas in as little as two to three hours, reflecting Dubai’s commitment to facilitating faster and more efficient entry procedures.

The move comes as Dubai continues to experience growth in its tourism and travel sectors, with authorities focusing on improving accessibility and convenience for international visitors.
