Sharjah: The Sharjah Economic Development Department (SEDD) has begun implementing a new package of government economic incentives and Executive Council decisions to support business activity, stimulate investment and strengthen the emirate’s business environment.
Effective from 16 June and continuing for three months, the measures introduce a range of financial exemptions, fee reductions and supportive measures designed to enhance business continuity and assist entrepreneurs, start-ups and existing enterprises.

The department stated that the package reflects the continued support of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and of Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince, Deputy Ruler and Chairman of the Sharjah Executive Council, for strengthening the national economy and easing the financial burden on the business community.

Hamad Ali Abdullah Al Mahmoud, Chairman of SEDD and Member of the Sharjah Executive Council, described the implementation of the incentives as a strategic step to facilitate business operations and deliver flexible services that meet the needs of investors and entrepreneurs.

The package includes waivers of late fines for micro licences, including Etemad and e-commerce licences; a 50 per cent discount on the issuance and renewal of micro licences; a 50 per cent reduction on industrial licences in the food manufacturing and pharmaceutical sectors; a 25 per cent discount on promotional campaign permits; and a 25 per cent reduction in SEDD fees for the issuance and renewal of nursery licences.

Al Mahmoud also praised the cooperation among participating government entities, noting that the initiative reflects a shared commitment to enhancing Sharjah’s competitiveness and to creating an attractive and sustainable investment environment.
