Sharjah: Major General Abdullah Mubarak bin Amer, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, received a delegation from the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP) on Thursday to discuss prospects for joint cooperation and closer coordination between the two sides.

The delegation was led by Major General Saeed Salem Belhas Al Shamsi, Acting Director General of Identity and Foreigners Affairs at ICP, and included Major General Arif Mohammed Al Shamsi, Executive Director of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Sharjah. Several directors general, deputies, senior officers and officials attended the meeting.

Shared priorities
Discussions covered a range of topics of mutual interest and ways to develop joint work, with both sides looking to bring efforts together in support of shared strategic goals.

Closing the meeting, bin Amer thanked the visiting delegation, crediting the cooperation and coordination between the two sides for building an effective institutional partnership. He said that partnership has helped strengthen the broader security system in the UAE and in Sharjah in particular.
