Dubai: Dubai Police has launched an advanced recertification programme for certified Lean, Six Sigma and Kaizen practitioners, reinforcing its commitment to continuous improvement and equipping its workforce with the latest globally recognised methodologies to drive institutional excellence.

Delivered by the Six Sigma Centre for Development and Improvement at the General Department of Excellence and Pioneering in collaboration with the Kaizen Institute, the programme is designed to refresh participants’ knowledge, strengthen their practical skills and enhance their ability to apply continuous improvement methodologies in line with international best practices.

Major General Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah Al Mualla, Director of the General Department of Excellence and Pioneering, attended the programme’s launch at Al Qusais Police Station alongside Brigadier Dr Tamim Mohammad Al Haj, Director of the Six Sigma Centre, Luis Kilhas, Senior Director at the Kaizen Institute for the Middle East and Western Europe, Dr Mousa Uraikat, Administrative Operations Expert at the Six Sigma Centre, and several officers.

Major General Al Mualla said the initiative reflects Dubai Police’s ongoing investment in human capital by developing the capabilities of its personnel, embedding a culture of institutional excellence and innovation, enhancing improvement projects and achieving the highest standards of quality and performance across all areas of work.

He added that the programme will update participants’ knowledge of global methodologies, strengthen their ability to lead data driven improvement projects, enhance their capacity to manage high performing teams and provide internationally recognised recertification alongside practical training on the latest tools and applications.

Brigadier Dr Tamim Al Haj described the programme as a globally accredited professional initiative focused on advancing practical skills and updating knowledge of the latest Lean, Six Sigma and Kaizen methodologies. He noted that it targets Black Belt and Green Belt certificate holders, as well as specialists working on improvement projects.

Dr Mousa Uraikat explained that the programme comprises six core modules covering Lean, Six Sigma and Kaizen concepts, advanced tools and techniques, root cause analysis and decision making, improvement project management, practical applications and case studies, and competency assessment leading to certification renewal.

The programme spans 15 training days, delivering a total of 90 training hours. Participants who successfully complete all requirements will receive an internationally recognised certification from the Kaizen Institute, further strengthening their ability to lead continuous improvement initiatives and deliver sustainable institutional impact.
