Sharjah Police recover AED500,000 stolen valuables in 3 hours

Sharjah: Sharjah Police recovered valuables worth nearly AED500,000 in less than three hours after receiving a report of a burglary at the home of an athlete who was abroad at a training camp. The swift response highlighted the readiness of Sharjah's security system and the efficiency of its criminal investigation teams in handling emergency reports.
The incident began when police received a report that the athlete's residence, located in one of Sharjah's residential areas, had been burgled while he was outside the country. Specialist teams from the Criminal Investigation Department immediately responded, conducting a crime scene inspection, launching search and investigation operations, and collecting evidence.

The rapid and efficient procedures led to the identification and arrest of those involved, and all stolen items were recovered in record time.

Sharjah Police reaffirmed that protecting lives and property remains one of its highest priorities, stressing that it continues to perform its duties efficiently to safeguard the community and protect residents' belongings, whether inside or outside the UAE, thereby reinforcing security and public confidence across the emirate.

Police also urged members of the public to follow the awareness messages and preventive guidance published on its official platforms and to take the necessary precautions to protect their homes, particularly before travelling. These include securing doors and windows, using surveillance and alarm systems, and avoiding the sharing of travel details on social media, all of which help protect property, strengthen community safety, and ensure a safe and worry-free holiday.
