Lieutenant General Abdullah Al Marri Inspects the General Department of Human Resources

Dubai: His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, inspected the General Department of Human Resources as part of the annual inspection programme for general departments and police stations. He was accompanied by His Excellency Major General Dr. Ahmed Zaal bin Krishna Al Muhairi, Deputy Commander-in-Chief for Financial and Administrative Affairs; His Excellency Major General Dr. Saleh Abdullah Murad, Assistant Commandant for Administrative Affairs; Brigadier Rashid Nasser, Director of the General Department of Human Resources, and his deputy, Brigadier Abdullah Miftah Al Marzouqi; Brigadier Dr. Ibrahim bin Sebaa, Deputy Director of the General Department of Excellence and Pioneering; Brigadier Ahmed Al Muhairi, Director of the Control and Inspection Department; and Lieutenant Colonel Dr. Abdul Razzaq Abdul Rahim, Head of the Inspection Section, along with a number of officers.
H.E. Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri affirmed that human resources are the true driver of institutional success. He emphasised that investing in national talent and accelerating the deployment of artificial intelligence applications are fundamental pillars for sustaining institutional excellence and enhancing Dubai Police's readiness to meet future demands.
During the meeting, Al Marri was briefed on a comprehensive presentation covering the key performance indicators and results achieved by the General Department of Human Resources during 2025, along with the developmental initiatives and projects it has implemented, all of which have contributed to enhancing the efficiency of human capital. The presentation also included a review of previous inspection decisions and their completion rates, reflecting the department's commitment to a culture of continuous improvement and the achievement of strategic targets.
He also received a briefing on the development journey of the student practical training programme, designed to prepare qualified personnel with the practical experience needed before entering the job market, as well as the "Future Competencies" programme, which focuses on building future-ready skills and empowering national talent to keep pace with the rapid transformations shaping the security and administrative work environment.
Al Marri stressed that human resources departments play a pivotal role in shaping the future of institutions, given their responsibility for attracting, developing, empowering, and retaining talent. He noted that investing in people remains the most vital investment for achieving accomplishments and embedding institutional sustainability.
He further underscored the importance of continuing to develop human capital in line with the directives of the UAE government, which prioritises people and works to prepare national cadres with the skills and knowledge required to lead the future and strengthen the nation's global competitiveness.
In the same context, he called for accelerating the pace of smart transformation and expanding the use of artificial intelligence technologies across various areas of work. This aligns with government directives aimed at broadening the deployment of these technologies in operations and procedures, and achieving national targets related to integrating AI into work environments, thereby contributing to improved efficiency, faster completion, and enhanced service quality.
The Commander-in-Chief affirmed that employee motivation is one of the most critical pillars of institutional success. He noted that a positive and competitive work environment directly influences performance levels, creativity, and innovation, enabling personnel to deliver their best and reinforcing Dubai Police's leadership across multiple fields.
At the conclusion of the inspection, Al Marri honoured a number of Dubai Police employees who volunteered for patrol duty, in recognition of their outstanding efforts.
